Common Questions

My reminder didn't fire. What should I check?

Open the app → Care tab → Reminder Reliability. The in-app reliability screen walks you through granting exact alarm permission and disabling battery optimization — the most common causes of missed reminders on Android. Reminder delivery may also be affected by Do Not Disturb, OEM background restrictions (common on Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Oppo devices), and notification permission settings. Because Android cannot guarantee exact alarm delivery in all cases, do not rely on CritiDose as your sole medication management safety mechanism.

Does CritiDose need an internet connection?

No. CritiDose is fully offline. All reminders, alarms, and data are stored and processed on your device only. No internet connection is ever required in the current version.

How do I delete my data?

Uninstall the app, or go to Android Settings → Apps → CritiDose → Storage → Clear Data. All medication data, dose history, and preferences are stored locally and are permanently deleted when you clear or uninstall the app. See the Account Deletion page for full details.

Is CritiDose a medical device?

No. CritiDose is a reminder and tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for guidance from your doctor or pharmacist. Always follow the instructions of your healthcare professional.

What is Critical Alert Mode?

Critical Alert Mode is an optional per-routine feature that plays an alarm sound and shows a full-screen alert when a reminder fires, even if your phone is locked or in silent mode. It is off by default and must be enabled individually for each medication routine. Critical Alert Mode is a medication reminder feature — it is not emergency medical monitoring and cannot contact emergency services.

Does CritiDose have cloud sync or an account?

No. The current version of CritiDose has no accounts and no cloud sync. All data is stored on your device. Optional account and cloud backup features may be introduced in a future version and will be clearly disclosed before being enabled.

Privacy and Data

CritiDose currently stores all data locally on your device. There is no server, no account system, and no way for the developer to access your medication data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Delete App Data or Future Account

To remove all CritiDose data from your device, or for information about what will happen when optional account features are introduced, see the Account Deletion page.
