Account & Data Deletion
Current Version: Local Data Only
In the current version of CritiDose:
- No account or login is required.
- No data is sent to any server or stored in the cloud.
- All medication routines, dose history, stock information, and preferences are stored in a local database on your Android device.
- The developer has no access to your data.
Because no cloud account exists, there is no cloud account to delete. To remove all CritiDose data from your device, follow the steps below.
How to Delete Your Local Data
Option 1 — Uninstall the App
Uninstalling CritiDose permanently deletes the local database, including all medication routines, dose history, stock information, and preferences stored on your device.
- Long-press the CritiDose icon on your home screen or app drawer
- Tap Uninstall and confirm
Or: Android Settings → Apps → CritiDose → Uninstall
Option 2 — Clear App Data (Keep the App Installed)
Clearing app data resets CritiDose to a fresh state and permanently deletes all stored data without uninstalling the app.
- Open Android Settings
- Tap Apps (or Application Manager)
- Find and tap CritiDose
- Tap Storage
- Tap Clear Data and confirm
After clearing data, CritiDose will open as if freshly installed — all routines, history, and settings will be gone.
Option 3 — Delete Individual Routines
To remove specific medications without resetting everything:
- Open CritiDose
- Go to the Medicine Cabinet tab
- Select the routine you want to remove
- Delete it from the routine settings screen
Deleted routines and their associated dose history are removed permanently from your device.
Android Device Backup
If you have Android's automatic device backup enabled (via your Google Account), some CritiDose app data may be included in that backup. This is managed by Google and subject to your Google Account settings. To prevent this, you can disable app backup for CritiDose in Android Settings → System → Backup, or disable backup entirely in your Google Account settings.
Future Account Features
CritiDose may introduce optional account creation and cloud backup/restore in a future version. If and when that happens:
- Account creation will be optional — basic medication reminders will remain available without an account
- This page will be updated with clear instructions for deleting your cloud account and all associated data
- Account deletion will result in permanent removal of all cloud-stored data within 30 days
- The Privacy Policy and Play Store Data Safety declaration will be updated before those features are published
Until those features are introduced, there is no cloud account, no server-side data, and no account to delete.
